Rashed, Thank you for answering the question. Keep questioning everything you believe and you will find more and better answers. In other words, don't stop at what you've discovered lately (there is no God). Question your beliefs and you will discover things to take you past the point you're at now. This is what life is all about -discovering new knowledge every day. I agree with you in what you think religion is. But I don't agree with you on whether there is a creator or not; a creator that religious people call God. Once you've clarified your ideas on what such things really mean to you, you will find that it's all a matter of what you understand from it. And it is that understanding that determines your behavior and attitude in life, and for life. You said in a post that you like Buddhism, and I tend to like it too, because it explains things in terms of life and nature as a whole. Where as the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish religions explain things in terms of "somebody else". And that "somebody else" is God, Prophets, Jesus and many others mentioned in their books. So, such explanations become not only illogical, but useless. Especially when you start thinking for your self, instead of thinking the way others want you to think. Having said that, one day you will come to understand that all those religions have another side to them, a real and truer side. This side that they all share together, is called the Mystical. And the mystical side that every religion has is the one that is really important for individuals, because it simply reflects what exists in the life and nature of every individual. Once you start getting the hint of the mystical side of religions, you will then be able to interpret religious books in a way that is natural and logical to you. And by the way, the first thing that must happen before you discover the other side is, move away from the common side, or religion. Welcome to the real world, Brother. I'm glad you made it here. And consider yourself fortunate because most people get stuck where they are. Keep searching and you will discover more. Good luck! --------------------- |
