I think the Domino Theory, and all such theories, are cooked up in Think Tanks as covers for naked greed. Eisenhower, after all, didn't warn us about Communists when he left office in that famous speech, he warned us that since WW II he noticed a disturbing trend of businessmen realizing that war was the way to make big bucks...all you needed to do was cook up a plausible-sounding REASON to go to war....he warned us of US, not "them".

If the deal was that there could be NO war-profiteering...that warmongers could only make cost plus 10%, you'd see dominoes disappear, terrorists go away, Communism something we laugh at....
