From the very start Muslim Turks have been blamed for silencing someone who was championing the Assyrian genocide. Those who knew Dr Deniz and his work knew that his work was much more sublime than that. He blamed the rise of nationalism and market forces on the need by the young Turks to homogenise their boundaries during WW1. He argued that nationalism, far from preserving a unique peoples' language and culture, was responsible for the loss of numerous peoples' identities. His family also shunned the immediate claims that Muslim Turks were responsible and requested that the jury wait unitl a suspect had been tried before rushing to any judgement. They have now been proven to be right. It appears as though a relative of Dr. Deniz was responsible. AINA and Eastern Star News agencie should now retract their previous Turkish and islamic villifying press releases. --------------------- |
