Aside from his men killing the Redcoats and using torture to gain intelligence, Washington signed the death warrants of pro-British American colonists; and he became a hero and a president -- let alone a slave owner and rapist of young negro servants.

Cubans have had Fidel as the executive of their party since their Revolution, and Cuba's had more progressive domestic policies than all of the Yankee presidents since after FDR. And let's not leave out the historical fact that the mighty, tiny Cuban island nation helped more than any other country or world power (except the USSR) to free the African nations from the clutches of exploitative, racist colonialists. As Parenti points out: all the wars, famines and massacres are part of a cycle which benefits a few players in this so-called democracy. So one man rules for fifty years and changes many things; while ten American presidents change seats but the policies remain the same.

To be fair, U.S. policy has changed: there are more poor citizens, more colored men in private prisons making products for billion dollar corporations for daily chump change. There are young men and women who are enslaved for life to pay-off the loan shark amount school loans who end up selling drugs, or dancing naked with a vacant look in their eyes for sweaty dollar tips from lonely strange men. There are veterans of corporate wars who mass murdered and gang-fucked defenseless foreigners and they are awarded an M-16 killing machine and a life-long refill of anti-psychotic medications waiting in line at the V.A. pharmacy.

And foreign policy is beyond the "Vietnam Syndrome" with each new war morphing into a video game as Prince Harry declares, '[war is] a joy for me because I’m one of those people that loves playing PlayStation and Xbox, so with my thumbs I like to think I’m probably quite useful"... I'd say the prince's thumbs are "quite useful" to stick up his twisted, royal ass!

According to Robert Baer, CIA Station Chief in the Mideast during the 80's, who's book "Hear No Evil" was written as a screenplay for the film Syriana, discussed how the first Iranian suicide bomber was manufactured when an Iraqi tank was about to break the enemy line, and a young, desperate 15-year-old Iranian strapped on explosives, blowing-up himself and the approaching tank, disrupting the Iraqi advance (according to Baer, that is). When word went up the chain of command, and ultimately to Khomeini, he fashioned the young man's sacrifice in a moment of urgency, to the Shia Imam Hussein and his 72 young men who were butchered by on orders by the Caliph Yazid in Karbala. In this massacre, Khomeini saw himself as Hussein, the Prophet's grandson, and Saddam as the Caliph Yazid.

But unlike Hussein, Khomeini issued a fatwa that a group of youngsters, as young as 9 years old (who were the original Basij) be given a white key to wear around their thin necks, below which they wore a belt of explosives and "volunteered" to explode open the gates of paradise while dying and killing Iraqi soldiers. I've no account of how many youngsters sacrificed themselves for Khomeini's mystical war. But it was merely a tactic, just as Churchill's call for sacrifice was a tactical decision. The only difference is Churchill is white, Christian and British... and Khomeini is a "sandnigger" born somewhere near Kashmir... to an English father, it is rumored.
