It's also called Threat of a Good Example. If a nation decides to use its resources the best it sees fit, like using oil money to built hospitals, schools, universities, affordable housing, all of which are considered human rights by many who not only benefit from these programs, but in turn, are thankful to their government's decision to keep a regulated economy, with its markets mostly closed to futile American products, and who later enter politics with a view that a politician is a servant of the people, not some gung ho celebrity who uses stupid, inane lines from stupid right-wing Bruce Willis films, like his most recent film Red 2, (I boycott films of this nature) where I read about a bloodbath that hero, Bruce Willis instigates at an Iranian Embassy, shooting and massacring Iranian embassy officials and workers, who are really spies and terrorists. As if half of the U.S. embassy workers in foreign countries are not CIA, or "terrorists" according to locals who were victims of torture by these so-called "diplomats" and "attaches of the embassy". Sister Diana Ortiz, an American nun helping the poor during the Central American wars, was seen as a communist practicing liberation theology, and was repeatedly raped by several men, one of her attackers being American. Again, if only people read more, and wrote less on Facebook about the hamburger with extra cheese they ate, or the lovely shit they took afterwards, maybe there will be a shift in consciousness. Phillip Agee, former CIA officer in Latin America, who after a ten year period doing CIA dirty tricks against the newly revolutionary Cuban government, wrote the expose, "Inside the Company: A CIA Diary", and became a supporter of the Cuban revolution, living his final days in his favorite, adopted homeland of Cuba, according to friend, Michael Parenti, said that what began to take over him and drive him toward madness was sitting in his office and hearing the incessant screaming of young boys and girls, students, who were labeled as "communist" and back then communists were called "terrorists", and as one former Latin American death squad torturer confessed, they (the superiors, meaning the Americans) had ordered them to skin alive the guerillas, the way one skins a dead animal, but the command was to skin them alive. This practice was also used in the CIA Phoenix Program in Vietnam, to instill fear and terror, a shock and awe sight of inhuman cruelty that leaves the witness in chronic state of shock and extreme fear. The same was done to Nicaraguan peasants and Guatemalan Maya Indios, who's genocide was planned and paid for by the U.S. taxpayer, who paid extra billions a year, for the Israeli Mossad advisers, who had innovated methods used on Palestinians subjects, ready to put to practice upon these other non-civilized "two-legged beasts". --------------------- |
