It makes no sense that the US would so polarise and destabilise their nation in order to dismantle the constitution.

The Republican representatives and senators were anihilated during the last election. Why would they lead their country into such foolish and risky behaviour that cost their economy so much and lose them their jobs to boot?

There has to be a pay-off somewhere.

I believe that the only reason why they would act so stupidly is to maintain the current economic order and their hegemony. The fact that a black man has been allowed to become President shows that the constitution and the rights it guaranatees are secondary when compared to their over-riding hegemonic goal.
