I live in a Japanese neighborhood in L.A. and we have as our new neighbors a young Mexican family: a man, his wife, young daughter and a toddler. The second they moved in, the few Whites in my building had the "oh, shit! here come the Mexicans" look on their faces. This family has brought nothing but love (through their childern) and beauty to our apartment building. The guy, Placido, took it upon himself, with his own money and garderning tools, to make a garden for all of us with a bench to sit on during the beautiful summer evenings. I love these guys and how through honest work and their simple sincerity, they have transcended the caricature of Mexicans in the minds of my Anglo neighbors. The shit-fucks in my hood are the Persian Shah supporters with their black and gold posturings, their Dolce Gabana, their Aryanism (which my dad used to call Eret-dianism), their stock nose jobs, and their panty-sniffing, prince of Pahlavi!
