When people were down on slavery they warned that every society that held slaves sooner or later paid a terrible price...and that was "normal" slavery....but the United States wasn't an ordinary slave-owning country, where being enslaved was a matter of bad luck, a loss in war, or a raid...in the United States being a slave was a result of who you were, not what happened to you. If you were Black you DESERVED to be a slave, even you stopped being one you were still DESERVING of being a slave and of nothing else..we went much further in dehumanizing and degrading our slaves than any other people ever had...and we wanted to KEEP doing it! Only war and defeat stopped it.

White America has never really paid it's debt to it's former slaves....hell, I'm always surprised at how gentle and forgiving Afro-Americans are...how patient and how they take and take and take abuse from their ex-masters....and it haunts us still and came roaring back with the election, and worse with the re-election, of Obama. All the uglies are creeping out in spite of decades of denials and "Hey, don't say NIGGER, we don't feel that way any more"....sure you don't!

So, let's play "secession" again....it worked so well the last time.
