Like with all things, we should start with a definition especially where dealing with people who are proud of their ignorance. fo·rum noun ˈfȯr-əm plural forums also fo·ra Definition of FORUM 1 a : the marketplace or public place of an ancient Roman city forming the center of judicial and public business b : a public meeting place for open discussion c : a medium (as a newspaper or online service) of open discussion or expression of ideas . I sum it up as a public marketplace for ideas. Not a message board where you chat....but a place where you can encounter all manner of ideas. The quantity and quality of those ideas depends on who comes by and who has something to share. But all you can do is provide the space...the forum, the marketplace...after that it's up to the people. What you must also do is make it freely accessible to all. There should be no moderator, no censor, no passwords and definitely no deleting of messages that may be unpopular or unacceptable...and there should be no preview of posts, or passwords...just a wide open door for anyone who wants to drop off an idea, or critique another....how people use such freedom tells you about them, not about the forum. i didnt know that this forum was one of sience and that all my posts had to be to your liking, Know what your saying because your really starting to make an ass of your self okey pinche --------------------- |
