Also the reason why we were not allowed to mention the word Satan in fron of the Yezidis was because the word had been used as an insult by Christians and later Muslims to demean their beliefs over the course of hundreds of years.

As we know the ancients worshipped Tammuz for 6 months pf the year and celebrated his return from the netherworld during the Akitu festival. Worshipping a god that descended to the netherworld to their Christian neighbours would've been seen as devil worhsipping and they would've been persecuted for it over the centuries.
