To be honest, it was not my goal here to disprove Dr John Joseph at all. I am not a linguist nor a specialist in semitic languages. I just provided Fraydun Athuraya Parhad something he asked for.

And to tell you my honest opinion, one or two references will not prove nor disprove much. You, Parhad, Dr Joseph and all who are dealing with this issue should ask themselves:

what does ethnicity means? The wife of King Senacherib ( Sinharib) was an aramean, his son was thus half-half...but that does not make him less assyrian, or? When does it make you or a person from northern mesopotamia an Assyrian? If somebodies people lives for thousands of years in ASSYRIA, speaks the language that was spoken also by King Ashurbanipal and all ASSYRIAN empire, you share his culture ( although developed and changed by time), the name you carry origins from the name ASSYRIAN, then nobody can even deny you or me being Assyrian if we want to. But, there is one thing, you should live and act like an Assyrian.
