If I'm correct, Marx believed that a society hisorically goes through certain stages (Slavery, Feudalism, Capitalism, Socialism and finally, Communism). In America we have a better chance bringing to life Marx's vision, since for decades now our Capitalist system has failed so many of us, and it keeps failing the rest of us each day. What lacked during Marx's time was that there was no TV with big chesty blondes telling us the most awful things, and yet we forget about the awful news and remember the woman's cleavage for days.

The reason China and Russia failed was that they never went through the Capitalist state.
