If I were to get one dollar for every time I answer people with these same old comments, I would be a millionaire and I am not exaggerating. I have been hearing this all of my life and grew up with these things and I was totally ignorant about it. Today I changed because I learned and researched things out. I can totally understand being ignorant of something but I can't accept wanting to remain that way. These people are not only ignorant but they have a bigotry and have made up their mind about it. Do you honestly thing we would even hear about the Turks if they were all Christian and supposedly killed 750,000 Assyrians? It is clear what the reality is behind all of this. Catholics have killed millions and so have the Greek orthodox and Protestants. They killed more Christians than anyone else but why don't we hear them say "do you know what they have done"? I rejected Christianity but not because of what some Christians and I also left Islam after learning more. If they want to go that route, then Christianity is the most evil religion ever.

When I bring up what Christians have done, I am told that's not the fault of the religion but why can't the same apply for Islam as well? In a way, one can blame a religion for failing to improve the person or make him/her better but that would have to go for all religions and not only Islam. Even some of my atheist brethren follow the method of Christians when it comes to Islam and just repeat what Christians say. I don't agree with Islam nor believe in any religion but I still have to be fair. I went on an atheist website to learn more, yet there was more bashing against Islam then there was anything about atheism. I suspected for a moment that the site was a Christian one because it had their logic, ideas, and bigotry toward Muslims. They even had a section where it said in huge letters: "why we only critique Islam" and their answer was that Islam is the only religion which calls on killing all non-believers and that Muslims are fighting "us" and will not stop until we are all converted. Now there may be few of such fanatics but is that true for all Muslims? When Muslims had such powers, did they really do such things? Christians and other bigots will say, "yes," of course but that doesn't make it true.

Are Christians all so peaceful while most Muslims are evil, bloodthirsty, bigoted and a threat to human civilisation? I can't agree with such statements because I know from experience and research. Most Muslims I have ever known were friendly, nice, funny, honest, sincere, etc. These things exist in all places but it was Christians who killed people for religion and the entire Christian faith is only where it is because of its past. Honesty, truth, fairness and knowledge are better than ignorance and bigotry.
