You can also ask why NATO didn't help the people of Egypt by bombing the living shit out of Mubarak and help the civilians. It is because no oil and Mubarak is their puppet. Same with Bahrain and other countries where western dictators rule. Qadafi was unique because he was no brought by the west but was a Libyan officer who took over without and bloodshed and had the support of his people. There is such a difference between living in America and living in the east. Watching us news givesw the impression that Qadafi was a joke around the world and nobody likes him but watching al jazeera will give a different image. It wasn't even Libyans who didn't like him but cia boys. Majority of Libyans liked him but our media would never admit it. It was religious fanatics who hated him only and the west.
