I ran into a similar site where those questioning the genocide were called evil and in denial but wouldn't it be completely valid to demand proof? There was another web site which actually denied the genocide claim and provided scholarly evidence yet there were comments on the bottom full of attacks and name c allings. It is very strange to me that the Muslims who were killed during that time are ignored and the Armenians are seen as people fighting for their freedom but what about the many innocent Turkish civilians that were killed by them? Do their lives not count? Another silly site claimed that even the Christians who died from starvation and diseases were killed by Turks because the government stopped them from getting help. But what about the many Turks and other Muslims who also died for the same reasons, were they killed by the Turks too? That males no sense. And of course, I found a silly Armenian site(like Aprim's) where they had a picture of a dead boy and it claimed that he was starved and killed by Turks. The image is totally unknown and impossible to verify. For all we know it could be an image from south America, and since nobody knows of its authenticity, any silly claims can be made about it. In other words, it can be something different to each person depending on one's desires. Aprim does the same thing in which he shows images of certain people and claims they are bodies of Assyrians who were killed by Muslims but only a fool will accept it as evidence. Apparently the "scholars" involved in the genocide case and who believe it happened use such silly things as evidence that the genocide occured. Turkey has been offering scholars and historians of all persuasion to come together and get the facts out and it isn't Muslims who oppose it but Christians and the very same people who claim there was a genocide. They obviously have something to hide. Again, mob violence or certain soldiers killing few civilians does not constitute a genocide nor does a massacre. A genocide is a systematic attempt to wipe out or kill a certain group and there is no evidence of that. --------------------- |
