If these things happen every day as our nationalists claim, there wouldn't be a reason for him to lie. Makes you wonder why they have to lie about persecution when they claim everyone knows and it's all facts. My own uncle lied on his application and said he fled because of Saddam yet that ended up biting him in the ass later when Saddam was gone and they denied his request a d told him to return to Iraq.
