...you did bring us a SINGLE historian...not one. You brought Parpola, who is an Assyriologist, not a historian of modern MidEast history..or any kind of modern history. His area of expertise is ancient Assyrians...his views on modern assyrians are those of an amateur...an educated amateur, but an amateur nonetheless...the other amateur usually trotted out is Richard Frye, who is married to assyrian Eden Naby, but he is an expert on ancient PERSIAN history...these two can write whatever they want about anything, but they are known and are qualified in fields OTHER than modern assyrians...OR Muslims and the history of Islam...I said, "bring us someone of the quality and standing of Gibbon, or Toynbee or Durant"...or, tell you what, show us ANY historian you found on the net or in a library...an expert in THIS field and not ancient Assyrians or Persians...or Italians.

Oh and by the way the book you are asking about and are writing about The Assyrian Heritage: Threads of Continuity and Influence have been orderd by Sargon G. Donabed an assistant professor of history at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island,to the university that he works at maby you can write him a line and ask if he can send you a copy of the book,

...an assistant of WHAT history? What is his area of EXPERTISE? A doctor is a doctor, but if you need brian surgery you don't go to a doctor of FEET!

him and a couple of other Assyrians wrote the book as you probably know and it should make you happy that

..."him and a couple of other assyrians"....WHICH assyrians? Who are they...what is their area of expertise...what degrees...what other published works? Can you NOT understand plain Engrish?

...I ask you AGAIN..we will accept your grannies and books written by "some assyrians" and an assistant in ANYTHING...what we are asking for are historians one can find on the net, or in libraries, of equal professional standing with such actual historians, not assistant, such as Durant or Toynbee or Gibbon...got it? Is that so hard to do? Just go on the internet and BRING THEM HERE....kay?
