I agree... Look at our other friend, Bill Maher, whose comedic timing is impeccable (and I tend to hold similiar views as he), except when it comes to his one-dimensional analysis of the big, bad boogeymen Muslims. Like you mentioned about Hitchens, Maher can say this and that about the Refucks and The Pee Party, but hey, let's throw in something about the Muslims (after all, ratings do matter). I was watching a film last night titled Iran: A Cinematic Revolution, in which one of the prominent Iranian filmmakers, Mohsen Makhmalbaf, was illustrating that in order to get his films the greenlight from the Islamic censors, he would throw in a couple of scenes that were pro-government. BUT, when it came to exhibiting his films, he would cut out those pro-government parts. In the case of Maher and Hitchens, that is not the case: they keep pushing their flat, Eurocentric views when it comes to Mid-Easterners.
