True. Speaking of beating wives, my father knew an assyrian in baghdad who would brag about beating his wife(who was more than 20 years younger than him) with a bicycle chain. He was telling his friends how she had to wear multiple pairs of stockings to cover up the bruises. He was doing this to show how manly he was by beating her like that. Later on I heard from my aunt that he had raped her originally and that's how he married her. He was a relative of hers and happened to stay the night. She was twelve years old and he happened to stay the night at her house. He got up in the middle of the night and raped her; he had told her of she didn't marry him he would tell her father so she got scared and married him. He was later killed by the KDP for passing info to Saddam about Kurds, and when he got killed, his widowed wife married a Kurd herself. My aunt also caught some beatings from her husband and arab neighors would rebuke him and say "that's shameful" in arabic. These people think it's manly to do this kinda stuff and then tell their friends.

I say before they make fun of muslims, they should look at themselves.
