My father shares such views as your grandfather did and I'm sure the heroes would call him a sellout. My father never had any problems with Muslims in Iraq. He was able to get educated and then went to Europe and furthered his education at the university of Vienna where he studied medicine. He would return to Iraq whenever he wanted to and visit friends and family and he has always been against the idea of Assyrians siding with British and the west because he knows what that has caused. My grandfather witnessed his father get killed by the Turks in 1915 and he later moved to Iraq and he pursued a better life and retired from IPC. Nobody that I know had any problems living in Iraq. My uncles didn't leave because they were afraid but just didn't want to live with wars and be stuck in the middle of all that. My father's side of the family are all highly educated with degrees and all that was possible in Iraq with Muslims. The heroes just hate the idea of people getting along and just being Iraqi. Fred Aprim says he's not Iraqi, so nobody else from his community should get along with Muslims. It's okay to be good citizens in Sweden, Canada or Australia but not Iraq. Assyrians are just racists who hide behind Assyrian nationalism and a brand of Christianity which sponsors their prejudices. --------------------- |
