In my Us World Banker model, I used the analogy of the IMF as a liquidator.
It's job is to keep the other nations dependent on us dollars and ensure they follow the Washington consensus.

The IMF's actions ensure that countries are either taken over forcefully with their resources ravaged by multinationals. Even nations that avoid the IMF and a run on their currencies do so by accumulating massive foreign reserves denominated inUS dollars and held in US banks rather than used for their domestic and social consumption.

What an apt metaphor their leader has now provided for the actions of this liquidator.
