-- It was either Michael Parenti or someone else who said that Foreign Aid is when the poor people of a rich country give money to the rich people of a poor country. The overwhelming amount of money we send to Israel (in addition to the moneys their and other Jewish organizations received as reparations for the Holocaust survivors) does not reach the regular Israeli worker, nor any of the survivors who live in deplorable conditions in south Tel Aviv. It all goes to the U.S./Israeli joint corporations and companies.... and it's the same with Egypt, Colombia, Azerbaijan, and Iraqi Kurdistan.
