Hoover and the FBI were some piece of work...what you all know is that no war, no agency works for the people, they all work for corporate interests because we dummies believe that if they prosper, we will too...so we believe all their lies.

Hoover never saw the Mafia...never saw organized crime...not until a lone cop stumbled on a meeting...but even then he never really pursued them, not the way he chased down COMMIES! And Labor Unions shared many of the humantistic concerns of the best of the communist movement, so it was easy to smear them...and I always believed that Hoover allowed organized crime to corrupt the Unions, turned a blind eye becaause the Mafia did his dirty work for him, in destroying confidence in unions...they ebcame corrupt because it suited Hoover and his bosses....meanwhile, for all the hearings and committees they never found ONE card carrying, current, member of the Communist Party...not one.
