The indigenous people of various nations get the rights accorded to all nationals...they have no special claim to what used to be their indigenous lands. Ask the Apaches. No one has denied them anything except that they deny themselves with their bogus demands and claims. The demands and requests that they make are not realistic at all and only laughable. Their demands for special treatment, autonomy or independence based on being "indigenous" is not going to work. It has never worked for anyone and it sure as hell will not work for them even though they been trying it for a long time now. According to the real world, any people who have been in an area for approximately 400 years are considered "indegenous". In that case, Arabs, Kurds, Turkomans, Yezidis, Jews, Mandeans, Assyrians, Chaldeans and Syrianis are all indigenous to Iraq. So, the claims based on that isn't going to work. They are subject to the same treatment, freedom and options that are available to all others. The Kurds just as well as Iraq have made it clear that all are given the same freedom and oppurtunities. But what these people want is more than that and they wont get that anywhere in this world or else the Natives of the Americas would get the same or the natives of any lands. >In our case the argument is even clearer...we, as Christians, are NOT the indigenous people of Iraq...the PEOPLE of Iraq are its indigenous people and they see no reason or justification whatsoever in our claim that a part of Iraq must be handed over to a Christian minority. Their claim of being indigenous Assyrian Christians is a joke. First of all, they are not the only descendants of the ancient Assyrians but there are many more, infact millions more and they come in all ways and not just as Christians. They can live and have the same rights as any other Iraqi or a Kurdistani but special demands or treatment is not going to happen. That don't exist anywhere in this world and it will not exist there either. The Kurds are not guilty of anything that Aprim or Yourash try to claim but they are only making fools of themselves by their complaints. Is the United States or Britian actually going to take their claims serious when they are guilty of worse things all over the world? Get real people and stop being clowns for free. If you want more than what you get in Kurdistan, Iraq, America or Timbuktu, then you can fight for it as the Kurds did and anyone else in the past has. Fighting is not an option of course so they can either enjoy the same rights as all others or keep screaming "persecution" "indegenous" and all their other claims. We have seen what that has gotten them so far and all it will continue to do is from time to time get a Pentecostal Christian or any other other evangelist a hard on with their little fantasies and prophecies which are always way off. Just like Tariq Aziz was going to be the "anti Christ" or like the last pope that passed away was suppose to be that "false prophet" or Jesus was suppose to reurn for as long as these cults have been out. Besides such rare cases, the cries of being "Assyrian" or "indigenous" will not go far in this world. >The above points can't be refuted. Not unless we go silly and make things up to suit ourselves...and we DO that...which is the main reason we will never get anything but the world's indifference and the back of its hand occasionally...we make fools of OURSELVES and then, like Jumblat, get mad at everyone ELSE. There is nothing to get mad at except that it hurts most of the time to be wrong. I was wrong about a lot of things and yes it was difficult but I had to make changes and I even sacrificed almost everything that was imoportant to me. But it is reality. >It's only natural that when you hear a good joke, you laugh! We get pissed at the natural, healthy, human characteristic of laughing when presented with a joke...if we want to really be respected, respected because we deserve it and not because we DEMAND it...let's EARN respect for a change...let's stop bringing up Ashurbanipal as a reason WE should be respected. > >When we're no longer a joke, people will stop laughing at or brushing us off....it starts with us...not with the world. Yeah exactly. It's when we decide to be like ordinary human beings and stop the silly acts. What these guys are crying for today, they had that until they pissed it away. Their very existense today proves that they were treated well under both the Ottoman Islamic Empire, The Arab Muslims and even the Young Turks who took over in early 1900's. In the current world, what these boys want is not going to happen. The Islamnic Sharia government days are long gone where minorities were free and had self government wether ethinaclly or religiously. Today's options are limited to behaving like the rest of Iraqis and accepting the rights that are granted to all Iraqis or continue being silly and be a free laughter for the rest. On another forum I was reading this post by another clown who went to speak so "tough" for ever and suddnly on the bottom of his post he wrote "the whole world owes us", lol thats all I can say. First he was making it sound like he was going to strke hell into any Kurd orwhoever and toward the end of his post he wrote the above words. What a joke. --------------------- |
