From the stories I have heard about what we went through in Iraq and having done a lot of research, I can safely say that we weren't persecuted in Iraq. Every story I have heard from our own nationalists shoots themselves in the foot while believing they have proved their case. It's like they take off their own pants yet fail to realize this. A nationalist tells me how his brother was beaten and sentenced to 6 months in jail for fleeing from the military. To him that was "persecution" but to me he is a criminal with accordance to Iraqi law. Military service was mandatory for all who turned 18 years old and anyone who refused would face jail time. This isn't "persecution" but prosecution. Getting arrested for not serving in the military or for making seditious statements or even being involved in sedition is punishable by laws. This happened in Australia, Britain, New Zealand, U.S. etc. Our nationalists are full of crap because they don't complain when the Native Americans were arrested for sedition. --------------------- |
