They must think or perhaps are aware of how stupid many Americans are, but the US has been interfering in Egypt for decades and Mubarak is their product. Michael Sheuer was on the FOX business Network being interviewed and this is someone who has knowledge in that region so a good choice to question. He mentioned that US has been supporting the Mubarak dictatorship and giving him billions of dollars to control his population as if Egyptians aren't angry of Israelis as it is. He said the people of Egypt will be angry and have every right to do so when we finance dictators and allow Israel to do whatever it wants to Palestinians. This is one person who seems to have the guts to criticize our unfair foreign policy and he even blames our policy for 9/11 and all the other hate we have around the world. > >He was totally right when he said that and also dismisses the silly idea of Muslims being jealous of us. He said it is what we are doing and not because we are free and they are Muslims. The host on the show then asked why many Egyptians, even secular ones, support the Muslim brotherhood of Egypt and the answer was because they care for the country. They offer social networks, security, jobs, and help the poor so it's obvious good people will be loyal. Egyptians and anyone else is not obliged to live under a foreign imposed ruler. Citizens of those countries pick their rulers and not some bully from the outside. The Egyptian rallies will spread elsewhere and I am happy about that. I hope it continues in Algeria, Yemen, Jordan, etc. This will break America's back and be a huge loss to its interests in the Middle East. The US didn't do Iraqis a favor by removing Saddam because they first destroyed the nation for 30 years before that and put him in power to begin with. > >They create the problem and then offer teh solution. This is a Christian/Western thing to create your own fears, enemies, problems, and then offer a solution. Build weapons of mass destruction and sell them to others while complaining the enemy will strike them. Stop creating enemies, stop this game that has been going on for a long time and then we will all be safe and there will be peace. But Christians don't believe in peace so will do everything in their power to create wars and danger because they say there can't be no peace until Jesus comes back from the cloud. I wish the motherfucker would come already and take these bastards with him to wherever so the rest of us can be left alone. --------------------- |
