I never understood that either. Or the ones who wear make-up along with their hijab or the ones who dress like Muslim women and then are surrounded by guys, flirting, talking loud etc. I have noticed in my experience it's mostly the ignorant cultural ones who do that. These are the kind who would take it off were it not for culture and they wear it for wrong reasons. I have never met a convert or and educated Muslim who actually chose this religion that does that. I have alwayssaid it and I'll say again. Most of the world population follows a particular religion only because of culture and that's what religion their country became a long time ago. There are a lot of things Muslims do that doesn't come from their religion. For example, their dislike for dogs and claiming their dirty to touch. This is nothing from Islam but Arab culture which crept into Islam as more of the preislam Arabs joined the religion. The Qur'an says to eat whatever your dog catches for you during hunting. How can I eat something my dog catches but I can't touch it? Only the Maliki school of thought within Islam has got it right and the rest are all stupid. As for women covering up, it's really up to the woman as she studies her religion herself and will make that choice. There were women in Arabia around Muhammad's time who did not cover their hair. And in those days almost all women dressed alike and Covered their hair. if those women, who cover their hair and then wear tight jeans to reveal their body shape, knew their religion, they obviously wouldn't do that. The Qur'an says cover that which is obvious and common sense will tell anyone that it's obvious you can't be showing your body shape and attract attention. The whole point is for people to know what you are about and to basically keep it respectful. If men are still after you and around you hugging you and flirting with you then there is something wrong with you. Women in Arabia around Muhammad's time had more freedom then they don't in today's Saudi Arabia. Women in those days fought in armies, and did all kinds of things that the Saud government would never allow today. I blame all this on Muslims more than I do on Islam. Of course it's silly and a ridiculous fairytale like the ancient myths from around the world but I don't think I would be doing justice if I blame everything on Islam when there are many Muslim pieces of shit and ass holes. --------------------- |
