Americans are easy meat for anyone with an Oxford accent...just as we instinctively feel that no one with a heavy Southern accent has any brains, anyone sounding like Laurence Olivier has won half our hearts and minds just by speaking a word....

I heard Hitchens say that if you had asked him in 1939 which religion was the greatest threat to world peace he would have answered Christianity, because of its support for Fascism, but today it would have to be Islam.

Well, what has Islam done since 1939 to make it so dangerous? What? Has it waged any World wars? Has it attacked and occupied a Korea..or a Vietnam...has it funded and trained murderers across Latin America...has it attacked a Cuba, imposed sanctions on anyone...stolen anyone's resources...toppled countries it didn't like...imposed itself on smaller and weaker countries....has it developed the largest arms manufacture the world has ever known and sold around the world...does it have military bases in 160 countries round the world...has it blindly supported any Israels?

Just what has Islam caused its people to do since 1939 that has Hitchens so scared? The only war I can think of is the Iran/Iraq war, but that was supported and almost mandated by the US, which made a lot of money selling weapons to both sides,,,so we couldn't have been all THAT upset...same with the occupation of Kuwait which was nothing more than a bad way to settle a disputed border, drawn up by the West, not Iraqis...and that too was urged on by the United States, at first...and then there's the '48 war against the Europeans propping up a European colony whose Jewish people had escaped murder at the hands of Christians....and that's it.

In that same time Christian nations have done all the things I mentioned above plus plenty more...so, which people of which religion are the actual threat...what was that....?
