To be honest with they would have to support the Kurds since they are living in their region. The U.S. and everyone else in the west sees that reagion as "Iraqi Kurdistant". They don't acknowledge Assyrians. Assyrians in Kurdistan aren't even capable of defending themselves so I wonder what they would do. As far as I know Kurds have been in charge of that area and they have outnumbered there 50 to 1. Assyrian political leaders in order to save face and out of embarrassment they have to force every Chaldean to call him/herself as Aassyrians. But I assume they'll have to defend the Kurds since they live in their land. It will be interesting to see what they gonna do, especially those big shots wannabe Assyrian chiefs. --------------------- |
