Rashad, I like to suggest you watch this one hour show with Noam Chomsky (whenever you have time) where he talks about Anarchism or European Libertarian Socialism and how this tradition was alive among American workers in the last half of the 19th Century and violently opposed, crushed and forgotten after WWII. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ghoXQxdk6s It's also great to hear that someone like Chomsky was inspired by an uncle who was an immigrant he claims never made it past the 4th grade and yet was the most intelligent and intellectual person he'd known growing up. --------------------- |
