This is an excerpt from the film, Shadows of Liberty, in which one of the theories was that: "The military staged a test firing of missiles with witnesses, in an attempt to prove that the witnesses would either not see the missiles or testify inaccurately about what they saw. However, the witnesses all reported seeing the missiles well. The report on this test came to the opposite conclusion of what had been hoped for, but the government fed the original, hoped-for line to the media, which dutifully reported it. "

I just wonder if by any chance, like the above paragraph illustrating how Flight 800 was probably shot down by the US and the rest was an attempt to cover-up the mass killing of travelers in mid-air; afterall, is it not possible that the "disappeared" fight may have been shot down by US missiles from their war-ready base at Chagos Islands (Diego Garcia)? And now they want to cover it up -- or blame Iran since there were two Iranian passengers on board with fake passboards... but the skeptical side of me doesn't believe this story. But then again, who really knows.
