After reading this and other articles about Bush Sr. attempting to wash his and his son's hands clean in regards to the Middle East wars, I would agree with you that they are indeed using Jewish neocons as scapegoats, possibly to promote Jeb's campaign by stating that it was the "iron-ass" neocons who duped Cheyney and Bush jr. into waging the post-911 wars. But... aside from what I or you may think, this argument is still taking place among Jewish leftists: on one end, there are Chomsky and Finkelstein who say that it's the Empire's will, while the opposing side puts the blame on "the Lobby".
