so sad...the only thing I can think of is that these particular Christians look at their Jesus as the captain of their football teams...a once proud team that dominated the standings but has since fallen to Islam. They hate like hell being second best, especially in "their land"...so the idea that they descended from the ancient Assyrians revives their wounded pride...and more than that, since Assyria is older than Christ or Islam, they feel they have the BEST claim to the land...and of course whatever is found on it...even though their religion came out second-best they can claim first place due to their so-called Assyrian ancestry.
