...pretty weak tea. ...Marx was at his best when picking apart Capitalism...but his formula for what replaces it was as bad as this joke....if he had ever worked with the proletariat he would have quickly realized that the last people he wanted to rule over people were factory workers...I've worked in factories and other hell-holes...I've had coffee breaks and eaten lunch with these people and I no more want them running a dog pound than I do a country, or me. ...the way to fight Capitalism is pit Capitalist against Capitalist and watch them chew each other up....it's really simple but takes discipline. ....No corporation can afford even a fraction of a drop in profits....not even the same level of profits year after year is good enough...profits must grow every day, every year...that means there are a host of Capitalists fighting for the dollar in my pocket...Exxon wants it....GE wants it....Johnson and Johnson wants it...it isn't like they needed that dollar...they have plenty already, it's just the way they've gone insane that makes one more dollar their holy grail...if I only knew it, I have THEM by the balls...but I don't realize what that single, silly dollar means to them, because it means something totally different to me. A corporation uses up most of its take in paying its expensive, keeping itself alive and growing...it's profit margin is relatively small...it may take in 10 billion, but most of that will go to operating expenses...the actual profit will be only a fraction of that...it isn't as if I have to cut out ALL their profit...10% will do...or 5...or 1....that's enough to make them all lose sleep and think of suicide...like I said, it's a sickness with these people. If enough people declared they would not buy from corporation X unless it got completely out of politics and lobbying...and then followed through so that the corporation lost even a fraction of its annual profits...you'd get results...let's put it this way; this would be your best shot at getting ANY results, from anything Marx suggested...if you take up arms against Capital you walk right into their jaws...you have to fight them with THEIR weapons, or rather with what they most want...what gives them life: PROFITS. If we only knew, we could have them down on their knees...but people don't have that kind of discipline. The only ones who did, who showed what attacking profit could do were those who ran the Montgomery Bus Boycott in the 60s. Even though they were up against Southern "tradition" and Jim Crow and the Man hisself...the simple act of refusing to ride the buses, even though there was no alternative, but just that...just by walking or car-pooling these Blacks and their white friends, brough Jim Crow to his knees...especially when the Christmas shopping season came around and the downtown stores got scared,a nd for good reason...did they all put pressure on city government to drop Jim Crow segregation, at least on buses, and that was a big big deal..a great victory...nothing the Cracker would have liked better than an armed uprising a la Marx...then they could have bashed heads and felt justified and the horrors and suffering could have broken the backs of the Blacks....but the only hardships Blacks faced was walking, or car-pooling and not shopping, for ONE season...that's all and the might Jim Crow fell to the ground. Marx's advice on a violent uprising as a way to usher in whatever is the product of the same kind of mind that did the oppressing...it's the mirror image of the violence used to put people down...now, we are to believe, more violence will lift them up...it won't. You have to know your enemies weak point, his REAL weak point, and violence ain't it....a boycott of Capitalists is better than taking shots at them...it also teaches people self-discipline in a much better way...violence is a throw-back...a boycott, in this case, id the future...but it waits for us to realize it. --------------------- |
