Middle east christians usually share the same culture with muslims and jews of that region so they use water, hose, soap, etc. If they change when they come here, they do it because they want to be like their white christian brethren so they even copy their dirty ways. It's not all europeans or whites, of course, but it is common. I remember playing soccer with german friends and would go to their house after and one of them hadn't showered in almost two weeks. His mom came in the room and opened the window and said "you haven't showered in a week" and he said "actually two weeks" and he had no intention to take another one anytime soon. He wasn't the only one and most of the classmates I had were like this. When I went to iraq, the first thing I noticed different about their bathrooms was that hose attached to the faucet and they would wash themselves after using bathroom. And any place I went, hospital, restaurants, etc, all had that kind of setup in the bathrooms and that's what people did. I went back to germany and was really suddenly disgusted and kind of shocked as to how dirty these "civilized" people were and how clean those "dirty" iraqis where even though they didn't invent the bmw. I read a story about christian missionaries going to some island in the pacific and the people there had barely any clothes on, but they also washed themselves and they had a very complex belief about their god. They were monothestic and believed in a creator who was so unique and could never be compared to humans or anyone. These half naked people were laughing and rolling on the floor when the pastor was preaching out of the bible and explaining his god to these people. They called the christians "tape tape" which meant stupid and they asked themselves how these people could be so advanced with technology yet so primitive when it comes to washing yourself and god. Can you imagine their reaction when the christians told them god was born, got his penis skin cut, and later was killed by his own "creation"? They were rolling some more as if hi on weed, lol. --------------------- |
