Agreed. And since you mentioned Buckley, I despise the guy, of course, but I still watch re-runs of Firing Line, his program that started back in the 1960s. He had the best of the best as his guests: Allen Ginsberg, Huey P. Newton, Paul Goodman, Noam Chomsky, Gore Vidal, Norman Mailer, James Baldwin, and a host of the most interesting people in American culture. There was no yelling over the guest like they do on Fox. The debates were real debates, and each side made great points, and it went like that back and forth. Not these days. These days it's all about sensationalism...
