There is no "left" in this counrty, if so, then they "got the FBI so far up their ass, they can taste the brillcream" (a line from "The Sopranos"). We are living in the nighmarish landscape of Orwell's "1984" and "Animal Farm". We've gone from "There's nothing to fear but fear itself" (FDR); to, "You're either with us or you're with them"(the terrorists)--(whoever the fuck wrote W's speech). Since you spend much time south, this may interest you... you probably already know this. Las Zetas, the paramilitary assassins who we keep hearing about in the news regarding the "narco traffikers" and "violence near our border". Last week, just by chance, I came across an article written in "eXile", by whom, I don't recall. Type "eXile" and you'll find it. Well, who are these guys? They are guys U.S. tax dollars paid to train in the infamous Shool of Americas -- where famous dictators and sadistic torturers are trained to keep the world safe. In the 90's, these men were trained in S.O.A. to crush the rebellion in Las Chiapas, led by Sub-Comandante Marcos and the Zapatistas. Well, when Marcos disarmed his band of fighters, the Zetas had to find some other means to make a peso, and what better way than to push their way into the drug rackets. Anyway, I'm done reading the news, thinking critically, and thinking and talking at all. These days I'm teaching myself how to talk "Cat" so I can tell my cat, Sonny, that if she demands too much out of me, 'no more food'.
