Just read that one of my favorite Irishman died today. Possibly one of the most underrated master actors, Peter O'Toole, who was most memorable as T.E. Lawrence, but was also captivating playing opposite his Welsh drinking buddy, Richard Burton in the film, "Becket". My father used to say he was in tears watching O'Toole in the film adaptation of Joseph Conrad's "Lord Jim". I feel the same watching another great Irish master actor and son of the Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom, Cecil Day-Lewis, Daniel. Time to break out that bottle and have a drink on this lovely sad Irish bloody Sunday.
