I would also like to add that even in the entertainment industry, Jews were still being discriminated against to where they had to change their names and make themselves sound more "Anglo". So, Bernard Schwartz became Tony Curtis; Emmanuel Goldenberg became Edward G. Robinson; Charles Buchinsky became Charles Bronson. And in the '50's, the white, Anglo senator Joe McCarthy (along with his Jew-Kapo lawyer, Roy Cohen) went after Hollywood's Jewish writers, actors, filmmakers by rendering them "Communist" and placing them on the famous "black list" which barred them from employment -- ruining their careers, reputation, families, lives, to the point of some committing suicide and the others, known as the "Hollywood Ten" serving time in prison for not "naming names".
