I'd have to agree with Hamilton that the masses are "a beast", unless the masses (or workers) are educated and liberated from all their petty selfishness and hate (racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia), and free from their blind faith in an invisible authority other than human reason. Otherwise, what we're left with is a mob of dumb, emotionally-driven, "patriotic", beer-drinking Super Bowl zombies and lynching spectators yelling "USA, USA" while dreaming that they have a chance to to become the same corporate pirates who rob them blind and live off of their labor and ignorance.
