True but it's sometimes hard to actually believe that these are the views of individuals like Maher. Something tells me that he doesn't truly believe this nonsense and Hitchens, he was shocking too. Here was a guy who supported the Algerian revolution while sounding like a freedom fighter and then here he is totally changed when the imperialists ganged up on Iraq unjustly and fighting it in the most cowardly way. I remember during the gulf war, we weren't even teenagers yet and we're arguing about how America isn't fighting fairly and then I move to the US a few years later and the attitude in this country is totally the opposite from our views in Germany. What we saw as cowardly, young Americans of our age saw it heroic. Hitchens had to feel a lot of shame behind the camera when having to sit there and play naive and try to justify every Bush action. He must have been the only one to believe Iraq has wmds.
