...in that Cold War favorite of Reagan's, when Soviet troops occupy the American heartlad, a sturdy group of handsome actors go on the attack against the Soviets....in Iraq the hardy people are fighting another occupier, America..only one of these freedom fighters are heroic....naturally. In Iraq they are "terrorists" for defending their homes...in America they are heroic for defending their homes.

US: Iraq operation meets less resistance

BAGHDAD - The top U.S. commander in northern Iraq said Wednesday a nationwide operation launched against insurgents was meeting less resistance than expected, but that troops would pursue the militants until they were dead or pushed out of the country.
