...well, there goes the election. I was hoping Romney could pull out a victory but with this choice he blew it. People have pretty much decided who they're going to vote for already...nothing Romney says or does is going to change anyone's mind....and Ryan certainly won't gain him the Independents....so who was Romney trying to win over with this choice? Most likely the Conservatives who never liked or trusted Romney....and at that it was just in order to get them to the polls....many Conservatives are so discouraged by Romney as their pick that there was a good chance many would stay away from the polls....Ryan might inspire them.....but he sure isn't going to bring in anyone new...the hope is that he'll at least get all the Conservatives to show up...keep that base alive, the wealthy one.

I'm beginning to think that the great overall Republican plan is not to care about winning elections...not even the presidential one....but, in the long long run, bringing all politics way over to the Right, by shifting the Center and forcing what passes for the Left in this country to move to the Right with them...and then, one day, the Repubs will get most of what they wanted all along, not by getting their own people into office, but by letting the Dems get into office and do it FOR them.....
