Years ago, I found this jewel: A concert at Tehran's Niavaran Palace - one of the Shah's many opulent homes. This song reminds me of my late father, Georgio "Bebe" Malik ("Babe", for he, like myself, was the baby of the family), and my grandfather, Nicola "Nico Einakee" Malik ("Nicky Glasses"). I remember when my dad used to tell me how he used to play my Grandpa's cassettes and cry during each song: Armenian, Qurdish, Assyrian, Azeri, etc. This is my homage to my father and my grandfather, and for all who's lives were cut short: (A bit of vodka and some maza' would be a great accompaniment.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cu2Vm-g63HQ&feature=related --------------------- |
