...it's interesting to note Maggie's obcession with "science" and "complete research" when you read her comment that she knows she is Assyrian because she IS. That's called "begging the question"...when you use, as proof for a proposition, that very same proposition, only rephrasing it as if it were already established fact...as in, "I know I am Assyrian because I know I am Assyrian". It's also silly.

The exact question is ; how do we know we are Assyrian...to which Maggie, scientifically answers, "because we are Assyrian". You can see why she makes fun of Princeton...

Everything about these people suggests religious sects railing against other heresies when not attacking the "power elite" of the orthodox faith...which branded them heretics in the first place. They hate it and the other sects and respond to anyone outside their circle as traitors, enemies out to "destroy" them. Just as no two heresies can tolerate the others existence, so too do opposing political beliefs, or historical doubts meet with the same "you must die or I can't live" attitude...among our so-called nationalists.

This is hardly scientific at all...they treat what they consider "politics" like Revealed Truth...hence Maggie's screaming diatribes and name-calling and character assassination and the stake too and thumb-screws and the rack, if she could, in place of anything approcahing an open, scientific, consdideration of the eveidence at hand...this is not politics, or science and it sure as shit isn't research...it is the furious reaction of a Priestess of some bloody religion who would cut your throat if she could for challenging her religious beliefs...disguised as they are behind "politcs" and "nationalism".

All these religio/nationalists are cut from the same cloth...all are divided among religious sects...who react to each other in the same screechy ways all heretical sects react, when not hating the power elite which cast them out.

These people, Maggie foremost among them, despise and distrust human Reason...because reason challenges religious beliefs in way those beliefs cannot match...and so they fear and loathe any hint or suggestion that they use reason, or science, to debate an issue calmly...because they know what the outcome will be...they know they will not prevail...that they can't...because whether its a belief in the divinity of Christ or direct decsent from Ashurbanipal, these things are faith-based and delivered from on high through Revelation and not research or study...and that means they are dictated by diving powers...and not to be questioned.

It would be a simple matter to study Dr Joseph's book and intelligently point out its errors...while supplying what evidence exists to prove the contrary...and though a few attempts are made in that direction, they quickly come to grief well before anything can be established...and the screaming and name calling..or, in Maggie's recent attack of the fantods... dragging someone wholly unconnected with the issue at hand, like Dr Eden Naby, to the fore to be insulted and demeaned in turn just because Maggie's venom has spilled over and can no longer be containedn where no amount of logic or reason or science can hold her tongue, or keep her mind focused.

Maggie has a religious person's idea of "reason"...and she fears it desperately...because it shatters her "faith" in her so-called Assyrian ancestry...that, and it can ulitimately show how she uses the plight of the people she pretends to care about, the Christians of Iraq, in her "fight", up to her arse in whipped cream and cats to lick it up too...from the relative safety of a suburb in Turlock. Not surprisingly, all these heroes of Assyria who would FIGHT for Assyria have made sure to get as far away from Iraq as possible...with so many reasons to fear Reason and research and challenges you can understand better why they yell and curse and scream and strive desperately to re-define "free speech" and "democracy", even "forum", into what no one recognizes as such, when they get through....likewise with "science" and "research"...words and ideas Maggie has no conception of at all...because she KNOWS it all ahead of time...so why bother? Who is so blighted that he would argue with Revealed Truth?

...Who but a scientist.
