Again, I apologize for this late reply...

However, with regards to my original question to you, (what kind of proof would convince you that the Modern Assyrians are directly linked to the Ancient Assyrians?) Your main answers were the following, which I extracted from your posts:

....nothing "defines" ethnicity any longer, except in a few cases, and even those will soon change as new "cultures" are made of blends. Ethnicity has just about become meaningless, in the modern era.

Of course, you gave full details of the reasons why you gave those answers. Never the less, they are all your answers to the one and same question I asked. So, as you can see, your answers above do not show, from your point of view, a clear and definite idea about what ethnicity is.

But, assuming you had a clear idea about the question, I expected an answer that is simple, precise, and as accurate as possible to today’s knowledge standard. If you had asked me the question, this would have been the answer: “The proof that Modern Assyrians are directly linked to Ancient Assyrians is through Genetic Analysis. In other words, the lineage can be proven through Genes.”
