...thanks to ashur we now have proof that not only were there Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire, but that they were Muslim. We know this because we believe ashur when he tells us Ottoman Christians were second-class citizens, despised, persecuted, martyred etc., so we know no Christian would appear at the top of the class of notable people.

Thank you ashur for confirming our beliefs that more Assyrians converted to Islam than ever considered Christianity.....all the stories of second-class dhimmis you told us about were obviously about Christians, who never would have appeared in so lofty a place in Ottoman hierarchy. That Assyrian gentleman standing in second place on Speed's map is clearly a Muslim.
