...most of the country scratches its head when it looks at the kinds of candidates the Repubs keep coming up with...and we ask, do these guys really think they can win a national election? No, they don't....they KNOW they are going to lose the national, but they ARE going to raise interest, and money, among the increasingly crazed white conservative fringe with the help of their step-and-fetch-it Black lickspittles....but, poor things, that's all that's left to them.

...of course Cruz and Carson and Huckabee and the rest don't themselves believe the crap they spout, any more than any televangelist does...but it WORKS and more than that even, they can't hope to compete in a more open field...they can't really manage rational debate...Cruz went to Liberty University to make his announcement, which is no kind of university at all...they teach the equivalent of Voodoo but THEIR Voodoo...and the students were ordered to attend or face a fine....even Cruz knew he had to play tricks like that just to ANNOUNCE....their "core" is THAT small and ignorant and harassed.

Of course he's not going to win, even if he makes it to the end...he might be angling for the dumber half of a presidential ticket...
