Here we have a people who demand the world's attention and recognition as "Assyrian Nation". They don't like to be proven wrong, they hate hearing otherwise, they dislike being ignored and somehow they feel that what goes for the rest of world does not apply to them. They want the world to acknowledge that they are suffering and have to get their own independant state. Now there is not a people on earth who have never suffered in the history of mankind. Every people suffered somewhere and sometimes. The White English Christians escaped Christian persecution in England and migrated to America. It didn't stop there because they weren't left alone but had to declare war and fight for independence. Anyone with basic knowledge of history knows the story. On the one hand, people all over the earth suffered, fought and either became indepedent or lost. On the other hand, there are others, who may have suffered or did suffer but could not get what they want whether by force or any other way, therefore, had to settle as citizens and go along.

As pancho always points out, people fight for what they want. No one can get enough sympathy from the current world to get someone to hand over a piece of land for just having sympathy for them. Now a suffering people may be welcomed into another nation and be allowed to live there as ordinary citizens but more than that they can't get. The case of this so called "Assyrian People" is no exception. No one has denied them the right to live in Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Kurdistan or wherever else. No one has denied them the right to regard themselves as 100% pure descendants of the ancient Assyrians. Now almost everyone laughs at them but no one has denied them the right to claim descent from the ancients. However, when there is a person who believes that he is owed something, we talking another issue here. If a people feel that something is theirs, they can feel free to fight for it and earn it or take what they get. But no one is required to hand over anything because someone feels he or she is a native of somewhere. We all know that the Seminoles are the natives of Florida, but they can't kick the white man out and declare it theirs without either getting hurt or thrown in jail.

They could try to declare war and either seize it or of course get hurt and lose. Everyone knows the Aborigenes were the original people of Australia. They have not been there for 3,000 years but more than 70,000 years yet the British came over and took their land, murdered them off, killed them with diseases, forced them to accept the religion of the white man and declared Australia theirs. They are allowed to live there but they can not get independence. Today they are the most at risk in Australia and targets of police brutality and many end up in jail or dropping out of school. Nevertheless, it is a totally differen't case with the Syriac speaking Christians and the Middle East. First of all, there hasn't been an Assyrian land in over 2,600 years. There never was a pure Assyrian ethnicity but it was rather a meting pot of people who contributed and were citizens of Assyria. One can see that by just looking at some of the kings of Assyria who were not even ethnic Assyrians but Amorrites and others who came to power and were kings of Assyria. They had a glorious history and they fell just like all others.

The people and rulers of that empire were not one people of pne pure ethnicity but a combination of many. They borrowed from others just like anyone else did and achieved much, but that is history. They fell and the people like before mixed in with the new rulers and conquerers of the land and it went on from there. For one, a lot of people had enmity for the Assyrians and it is well documented that many were killed. Others blended in with the rest of the peoples while over time losing their culture and identity. This is confirmed by numerous sources that already before the fall the Assyrians were in trouble because of Aramization which affected many people. It had a greater impact than on others because the Assyrians were not able to maintain their own identity and so lost it. Now no one is denying that there are no descendants of the ancient Assyrians, Babylonians, Arameans or others but they are what we see in Iraq, Syria and other areas. No people in particular have the right to claim a title or name for themselves but they can try and get laughed at.

Now we have this new "Assyrian Nation" which consists of a few hundred thousand people who belong to many Christian sects or denominations and they are demanding something from the world. Its leaders are self proclaimed men like fred Aprim, Sargon Dadesho, John Nimrood or a Jumblat. They all consider themselves educated, leaders and make demands. When they are barely confronted or questioned, they lose it and start calling names, asking for help from the rest of their supporters to either get rid of such person by banning and deleting, disowning or like Jumbo yelling "go back to Pakistan. We have a Jumblat for example who is over 60 years old, believes to be a leader and shouts the words of a low life redneck from Georgia or a 10 year old if that. They demand respect, yet fail to even try to earn it first. They call names, insult parents/family, disrespect others, are racists, bigots and rude but demand respect and recognition from others. They get pissed at Arabs or Kurds for throwing them in jail for sedition or slandering them, yet tell opponents in their own community to "go to Afghanista" and other comments made by ignorant, uneducated, low life and imature individuals.

This is all because they are questioned or feel challenged. Now they are making demands and claiming to be persecuted. No one is buying in to their lies except a very few such as western missionaries with special interest but apart from that they are not taken serious at all. They are demanding the Kurds to recognize that they are living in Assyria and that the land must be hand over voluntarily to Jumblat and Freddy. They don't want be citizens of those countries but want their own and all they think they have to do is demand it. But it donn't work that way because no one obligated to do anything. They can live like others in Iraq, Syria, Kurdistan and wherever else, or they can fight for it which we know they don't have enough men or balls even if they gathered every goat, cow, chicken, dog, baby and Jumblat, or they can leave. They are not going to get anything because they are not going to fight nor are they taken serious because they are a fraught. The average College or High School student in America does not know what hell an Assyrian is nor does he care. But they somehow think they are important and feared by the whole world.

They have a "martyr day" yet if one looks at their martyrs they are nothing but a joke. It is also funny that they only qualify as martyrs if they were killed by someone who is supposed to be Muslim, regardless if by accident or for crimes etc. Yet there is no mention of a martyr if he/she were killed by an English, German or any other westerner or Christian. I have cousin who was stabbed in Berlin by a German but he is not even on that list because it don't qualify in such cases. For that they say, "things happen" but they are not so logic or open minded when it comes to the Middle East or Muslims.

Well this is their "Assyrian Nation" which they habe been demanding for about 80 years now or it started about 80 years ago. They have invented a flag, have formed home made groups or parties to represent this nation. Their nation hasn't gotten anywhere, it isn't going to either because it was never real to begin with. They were living just fine and happy until about a 100 years ago. They suddenly demand a land, claim that it's not possible to live anywhere except in their own land as Christians and Assyrians but all they want to do is portray themselves as oppressed. They have no proof for their claims except for the couple of books printed and written by Fred Aprim or a couple of others like them. They don't believe in proof or even real education because they already know the truth and are not going to change. Therefore, since they are not going to change, they can continue for the little or few more years they got left before they are totally erased because of their newer generations. As time passes, they become more backwards while pretending to be avanced and are becoming more ignorant, racist and prejudice while not achieving anything.

This is their story and their joke, yet Jumblat demands respect as a 60 something year old with a foul mouth who is ignorant, racist and low class who likes to drag family into everything. Well it is right to respect elders but it is also right that a person has self respect and earns some respect by good behavior
