...believing that Bush "got it wrong" in Iraq...or that "mistakes were made" in this disasterours crime against humanity is like believing Enron made "poor calculations" or had "scheduling problems" when they shut down so many generating plants at one time that power became "scarce" and they were "forced" to raise prices to a point where they made one billion dollars in ONE month! But, we might have gone on believing it had whistle blowers not stepped forward....and investigtors not been assigned to dig. No one thinks Enron made mistakes today...we know better. We know they deliberately created shortages but tried to make it look like a "mistake". In that case criminal charges were finally brought and some people went to jail and huge fines were levied. It's just too much to expect Americans to admit the obvious parallels with Iraq...they just can't bring themselves to admit that American lives would be watsed and so much money stolen from our Treasury to line the pockets of a few rich men looking to get a lot richer a lot faster...just as they'd find it hard to admit that the reason Bush wants to think about things now...or hold high level talks now...and consult with senior offiicials now is nothing more than an attempt to forestall the inevitable...for money. Bush achieved what he REALLY set out to do...there is now a growing market and supply in "terrorists"...people so outraged by what the United Christian States has done to them that they will dedicate themselves to fighting back....that was his REAL objective...there was no hope in hell in forcing "freedom" on Iraqis...had that been the case America would have gotten out after Saddam fell...but we didn't...we stayed there to make sure we devastated the country and tortured its citizens thoroughally and made ourselves so odious that Iraqis today WANT American soldiers attacked...because they see a much worse enemy than Saddam ever was....at least when Saddam was there if you backed the rulers you could expect some peace and security...but now, if you back this puppet government, you become a target..and if you don't back it you're still a target.. Let's stop refering to the "failure of Bush's policies" in Iraq..let's not accept HIS notion of what his purpose was, tailor made for public consumption..you've really got to dumb yourself down to believe this is the way you bring peace and security and democracy to a country...let's focus instead on what he DID achieve and we'll see that was what he set out to achieve...follow the money. Always follow the money. especially with these guys. --------------------- |
